Wakefield have been fined £1,000 following a breach of Rugby Football League operational rules on concussion. The Wildcats have been punished for failing to remove skipper Danny Kirmond from the pitch for assessment during their 18-16 victory at Widnes in the Super League on April 29, despite showing signs of concussion. Since the start of the 2015 season, teams are allowed an extra free interchange in the event of a player suffering a head injury that requires a pitch-side assessment.The rule was introduced by the governing body to safeguard players against the unseen dangers of concussion.Huddersfield were the last Super League club to be punished for breaching concussion guidelines.The Giants were fined £1,000 last October for leaving Luke Robinson on the field during a game against Castleford. Bennett has had some breathing issues during workouts and in preseason games, and him being sometimes winded had been attributed to him not being able to work out as much this summer after undergoing shoulder surgery in May. But Brown said Bennett also deals with asthma and wears a mask at night for his sleep apnea. "Its a culmination of a lot of things," Brown said. "The shoulder, hes been out for a while, hes got asthma. Were throwing a lot at him.dddddddddddd Hes probably never played this hard against this competition in his life. Hes got sleep apnea and some other things. He likes to stay up late." The 6-foot-8, 259-pound Bennett averaged 10 points and 6.3 rebounds in his first three NBA preseason games. "Its been tiring to watch him because every time I watch him hes (gasping)," Brown said. "It makes me tired, so I try not to look at him. I tell him, If you need a sub, just tell me.
